In recent decades, massive cultural changes and the creation of entire fields of scientific research have occurred, drastically changing life as we know it. The past is now an alien place with completely different experiences, and the future appears to be just as foreign. The Baylor School has recognized that the past and present both affect what will happen in the future, and, as a result, this TEDx conference has been planned with the intent of "fast-forwarding" our ideas into the future. Come join us and explore the past, assess the present, and invent the future on September 16th at the Baylor School Chapel.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBaylorSchool, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBaylorSchool event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
